Welcome to the 1st Waltham Forest South - Noor Ul Islam Scout Group
The first session of the Group took place on the 15th April 2010. After two months preparation, finally the 1st Waltham Forest South - Noor Ul Islam Scout Group was up and running. Present at the inaugural session was the District Commissioner Mr. Mike Pattenden and Mr. Yusuf Hansa, the Chairman of The Noor Ul Islam Trust, both have given great support to the Group.
Nearing the end of the term the group now has three invested leaders; numerous helpers; 25 Cubs; and 24 Beavers. Insha'Allah we are hoping to start a Scout section in September this year.
Muslim Scout and Scout Groups in general are all about having fun and learning new things in a friendly environment. The different sections of our group will be maintaining their own section pages with articles and write up by the cubs and beavers.
